About the course
Respirable Crystalline Silica (Quartz Dust) Training
Quartz is a naturally occurring substance found in most types of rock and is harmless as long as it is not processed. However, when materials containing quartz are processed—such as during grinding, drilling, or cutting into concrete—dust is released that can be harmful to health.
Quartz dust can be found in many workplaces. You may be exposed to quartz dust if you work in industries such as construction, mining and stone processing, crushing and grinding of stone, steel production, foundries, manufacturing of concrete elements, or tunnel construction.
